whew

Ok, I took the plunge, I got a blog.

Things were pretty normal today at the WEIRDEST SCHOOL EVER. I spent most of the day running around looking for this kid who's been skipping my class since October so I could drag him to the office and have him thrown out of school. I think it worked, at least for a few weeks. I don't think he understood why I got him in trouble when, technically, he wasn't doing anything to me. He has a point, considering the way some of these kids cuss at you and threaten you, the ones who go about their own business look pretty tame, but I had a real issue with the way he was just getting away with coming to school and walking around all day. These kids act the way they do because THEY GET AWAY WITH IT. It makes me angry. This is how people grow up to become felons. Better he find out now that there are consequences for his actions than when he ends up in prison, but maybe that's just me.

My poor friend who teaches Biology is about to quit, the kids keep turning on the sinks in her classroom while she's teaching and making a big mess. God was smiling on me the day he handed out class rosters. That's the best story I have for now.

In other news, I just saw one of those cool radioshack commercials where people sit in the red chair and tell you what they want for Christmas, I love those :)
