Two days (or so) until Todd comes home!
yay!
This does mean, however, that I have to start coming up with actual meals, again. I do enjoy just getting to eat fruit or a salad or french fries for dinner while he's not here, and not having anyone to mind. I am kind of excited about having an excuse to cook again, too, though.
I am in need of inspiration (which thanks to my awesome sister I should be getting some of at my shwoer :)) But does anyone have any good romantic first night home meal suggestions?

Does he have a favorite? I'm not so good with "romantic" type meals.. most of mine are pretty "normal" I think. Probably because the less work involved the less mess later on, and trust me, I can make quite the mess even with a simple meal!
I asked him once what his favorite food was, and he said "crab legs." Which I think is funny, because that's not exactly a dish you can cook . . .
We both really like pad thai, I think I'm going to make that, and after the Good Eats episode a few weeks ago, there is definitely some fried chicken in my future.
I don't even know what that is! :)
I'd like to learn how to make *real* fried chicken sometime! I can oven-fry (which means breaded and baked) but that's it.
Alton Brown did a really good episode on pan fried chicken (which is easeir than deep fried.) It's easier than you think. Just be sure to have a candy thermometer for your oil.
Pad Thai is a Thai food dish, stir fried rice noodles.
Warm (but not hot!) chocolate fondue. And strawberries. In bed.
hehehe
