Golly Jee Whiz. . .

This adult stuff is hard work. I've been really stressed out lately. My classes are keeping me really busy, and so is school. On top of the regular school stuff, I'm in the middle of this AP Audit for next year, which requires me to basically plan the entire AP Stat class in advance. I've had a lot of help, but still.

I am also DESPERATELY trying to lose weight. I'm just sick of being fat. I've been walking the dogs (which is good for everybody) and doing some pilates/weights. I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs by the end of school. I feel better that I'm exercising, but trying to lose weight always makes me feel stressed (which, of course, makes me gain more weight.)

So sorry I haven't been posting much, but I havent' felt very entertaining. Fortunately, TV is at an alltime high this time of year. If you're not watching Heros, The Class, or How I Met Your Mother, its seriously time to start.

Thanks!

You guys were more of a help than you think. I got my paper done, 8 whole hours early! Who says I procrastinate?

These classes are killing me I forgot to post to the reading in the content area discussion board AGAIN. I'm behind in both of them. Most of the stuff isn't hard, but it does require a lot of thought. For example, I have to fill out a blooms taxonomy chart with activities that involve all different types of thinking. It's hard to actually have to think about that stuff. Not having any examples makes it hard too, because Im not sure exactly what they want me to do or how in depth they want me to go. It makes me empathize with my students.

On top of that, I have to do this crazy AP audit. I dont mind doing the audit, because it means I probably get to teach ap stat next year, but I have to do all this paperwork and turn in a syllabus and stuff. I'm going a little bonkers.

Long story short, I dont reccommend taking two classes and trying to teach full time simultaneously. Oi.

Help!

No really, I need your help. I have to write a five page paper on what it means to comprehend by tomorrow, and I am supposed to interview people about what they think it means. You're people. What do you think it means to comprehend? What helps you comprehend? How do you know when you comprehend? I would really appreciate your help.

Some thoughts . . .

1. If you haven't been to dealmac yet, you should go. dealmac.com, and yes, it's for pc people too.

2. Our puppy is getting way cute. She's up to 25 pounds now, which means she's more than doubled since we got her. She is starting to learn some manners and cuddle a little bit more, but she is still a big, galumphusy goober. She will accidentally wallop you in the face while she is flailing around. It hurts, too. We love her anyway.

3. My house is a mess. That is all. Today is laundry, tomorrow is vaccuming.

4. Online classes are dangerous. Big nod to dotty for getting her stuff done early, I already missed one assignment and turned it in a day late, my teacher cut me some slack, though.

5. I've been trying some new things in my classes and I think it's going pretty well. Students are always a little suspicious when you do something out of character, but my kids are champs and really seem to be giving everything the benefit of the doubt.

6. I cut my thumb and I think its infected and I have a thing that's kind of like a blister but firmer and its healing but the blister thing isnt' going away and it hurts and todd wants me to
go to the doctor but I wont' because I feel stupid going to the doctor because of a tiny little cut.

oh, yea, and Chloe got a st patricks day loofa dog from petsmart.

Our new arrival

It came! It came! and its black and it's SWEET.
