Reaper, the new show on the CW, is SO FUNNY. Seriously. You have to watch it. At last once, really. So funny.

My latest obsession

Is canning. Last weekend I canned chicken stock, this weekend is marinara sauce. The coolest part is even once you take it out of the pressure canner, it still keeps boiling in the jar for a few minutes. That's just cool.

In other news, this weekend is my first anniversary! We didn't save the top of our cake, so I am making a chocolate recreation of it this weekend. More on that later.

Well, it finally happened

One of the dogs fell in the pool.

A few days ago, I put too much algeacide in our pool, and it made it foamy on top. There have been islands of foam on it for several days, and today, Chloe thought she should step on one. Todd jumped in after her. I am sorry I don't have pictures, but I was still upstairs waking up.

Tomorrow is the first day of school! I'm not as excited as I have been in the past, but this is also the first time I'm not starting at a *brand new school*. I did get a really great new toy to take to school with me this year.

The teacher discussion board I'm not (which seems to be full of *total idiots*) is still debating the teachers of facebook issue. I am sticking to my guns. I really dont' see what's wrong with it, and I think it is really good for my kids to see me in that light. I think the people who are against it are probably mostly from an older generation or teach at much rougher schools (I would *not* friend kids from the last school I was at, for instance!) So please, those of you who are my facebook friends, don't go posting porn. Thank you.
