Say hello to my little friend(s) . . .

I finally gave in. You see, for quite some time now, I have pined for a Tivo. Back in college, I was able to put off my deep longing with a timer warner DVR, which was pretty high quality. Once I moved to Richmond, I got a Comcast DVR, which wasn't as good, but it was still ok.

Now, for the last two years or so, I have had a DirecTV DVR, and it SUCKS. These things are awful, not only is the software slow and unintuitive, it will randomly not record things it is set to record! OR say its recording them while not really! OR only have one of it's TWO tuners working at a time!

I couldn't take it anymore, I gave up.

Ebay to the rescue, I bought two (it was an accident that I won two auctions) used tivo's, and the access cards to make them work are on the way from direcTV! Wish me luck!

In related news, one of the Tivos came with NO POWER CORD, this was not explicitly stated in the auction listing, so I left neutral feedback. The Jerk, in turn, left me NEGATIVE feedback for leaving him NEUTRAL feedback and said I should've read the listing because the item was listed "as is." The tivo was shown on and displaying a picture in the auction, I assumed that meant it would have a power cord. Boooo. Now I only have a 90% positive feedback rating (I only have 8 pieces of feedback.)

This is a doggie blog

The dogs continue their improved behavior. Lately, all my dreams have come true. Todd has been working late lately (no, thats not the dream part) and the puppies and I have all been hanging out on the sofa watching tv. Both puppies, asleep and snuggling on the couch. That's why I have four dogs.
This is their latest glamour shot, lexi is sitting on a stump. She loves to climb over, on, and under stuff, so I am trying to teach her some related tricks.

Caffeine Free

For a variety of reasons, all of which seem to elude me, I switched to decaf coffee on Tuesday. This means I basically gave up caffeine. I really didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal, after all I only had a couple cups of coffee first thing in the morning, and then nothing for the rest of the day.

Oh my goodness, was I wrong. Yesterday I was EXHAUSTED, today I'm exhausted and I have a headache. I came home from work thirty minutes early and took a two hour nap. I had no idea what a huge effect caffeine had on me. Right now I feel like crap, but, presumably, soon, I will feel better than ever.
